People are our most valuable Assets
At Partner, we strive to achieve best value and excellence in performance across all aspects of our operations to ensure customer satisfaction, business growth and employee fulfilment and, ultimately, shareholder return. Partners’ success is built on maximising the talents, skill sets and expertise of our employees to deliver excellence to our customers, the communities in which we operate and to our shareholders. Our highly trained team is a tremendous asset to our business and we support their ongoing development through training programmes. We value their immense contribution to providing high quality homes for all our customers to enjoy.
We have adopted and continued our apprentice scheme. Primary and secondary schools and colleges are always places where we can work with the students in a variety of ways whether by creating site visits and open days or classroom talks on health and safety, career opportunities or the design and build process. We also place significant emphasis on creating apprenticeship and work opportunities with our supply chain partners and find personal development opportunities for young people in our development areas that may need extra support.
We work closely with the Construction Skills organisation in the recruitment of local apprentices. Adam Cockcroft (Bricklayer) and Sean Linighan (Joiner) are currently serving their 3rd year of Apprenticeships in our business.
Using Local supply chains and Labour :
We actively encourage the use of local supply chains and labour. We have a wide range of agreements in place with suppliers and subcontractors of all trade.  These are well established and continuous review ensures they continue to offer best value. When selecting potential suppliers and subcontractors, we take a view on whether they can expand or adapt to suit our requirements.
We have experience of working with local subcontractors in all UK regions and, through clear and concise communication ensure they are able to efficiently manage their production scheduling and consistently deliver to programme. Through our partnering arrangements we work to gain a better understanding of skills shortages and assist them with their recruitment procedures to address these gaps.
Equal Opportunities and Diversity :

Partner is committed to equality of opportunity, combating unlawful discrimination and harassment, and encouraging diversity amongst our workforce. Our aim is that our workplace will be truly representative of all sections of society and each employee feels respected and able to give their best. The Company forbids all forms of harassment, including that committed by third parties, and seeks to ensure that we are providing a rewarding and progressive working environment for all its employees. We are committed to ensuring that all of our employees are aware of their rights and responsibilities in respect of equal opportunities as applicable to their job roles.

Communities:
We are committed to building vibrant sustainable communities where people want to live and work. This means taking the time to think about what each locality needs in terms of the homes that we create; the proximity of schools, shops and health care facilities. We want our communities to be the kind of place where people’s needs are met so that daily family life is simple and pleasurable .The only way that we can achieve success is by building homes and communities that people aspire to live in.
